Life's a BReeZe - When You Look This Good

Name a better-looking combo than purple, bronze, and carbon fibre. Exactly. You can’t. This beauty of a BRZ belongs to Jennie from across the pond, in Florida (TLNTD are international!). This BRZ has had a load of work done to get it the show car standard it is today and straight away, we’ve fallen in love with it.

Jennie (from the states) has been into cars like most of us from a young age, and although on this side of the world some of us grew up watching dodgy Dave in his beater doing skids in Tesco car park… Jennie grew up watching classic car auctions with her old man and talking about what they’d do if they had owned one. She first learned to drive stick (some American slang for ya’ll) in “my mom’s 1987 Chevy Sprint. A yucky brown (on the inside and out lol)”, which to our understanding is America’s version of something equivalent to the Honda City Turbo or there abouts…? It’s fair to say that she has come a long way since then.

Jennie also started her own car club, UndisputedVybez (make sure to check them out) 4 years ago and is open to everyone and anyone, “Cars change throughout our lives, but good vibes and passion don’t.” couldn’t have worded it better myself. But enough of the introductions, time to find out more about this epic Subaru.

3 years of ownership is a fair amount of time to transform your car into an extension of yourself, put your flare on it and show off what you can do and it’s clear that Jennie, knows what she’s doing. The BRZ has had a custom paint job which is why it the paintwork looks so incredible and has an amazing contrast with the 18” bronze Cosmis Racing wheels (peep the drilled and slotted R1 concept rotors behind). This Subie is also lowered on Eibach Sportline springs and Cusco lower control arms to help minimise the arch gap and give the car a more aggressive presence on the road. It certainly looks the part.

Another wow factor on this build are the exhausts. 4 of them... HKS 3” headers to a Magnaflow 2 ½” mid pipe that “Y’s” to quad carbon Akrapovic tips. Not only has this BRZ got the full works on an exhaust set up, it also has an Injen SP Series cold air intake, upgraded 73mm throttle body, Cusco strut bars and “tuned by DNA tuning in Hialeah, FL”. On the inside “all of the dash pieces have been painted to match the car” and Jennie is also running Tanaka harnesses, NRQ quick releases and a beefier sound system with two 12” Alpine subs and Kenwood interior speakers.

However, to see this BRZ’s final trick, you may want to wait until after dark… This Subaru is equipped with incredible exterior under-glow. We have seen an increase in under-glow slowly returning into the car scene in the UK, and it’s great to see cars with it in the US too. So, if you’re contemplating getting under-glow, do it. It’s probably a good idea. Probably...

All in all, this car is amazing, it’s clear to see everything that has been modified has a purpose visually and it’s a great example of what can be achieved when you put the time and effort into a project like this, “My favorite thing about the car outside of the pure joy of driving it is watching the kid’s reactions at shows. They get so excited when they see it, it makes me smile.”. Further plans for this build include additional lighting effects and some more interior work in the form of some carbon fibre trims.

To sum it all up we always ask owners about what they think about where the automotive scene is headed. With the new electric vehicles and more automatics streaming into the market and with bans on emissions, the ‘car scene’. “I feel like the automotive scene is moving in a direction I’m not sure I care for. Manual cars are disappearing, and paddle shifters are NOT the same. Sorry, not sorry. Electric cars to me are also not the same. I can appreciate the engineering behind them, but they just don’t have the same feel to me.” It’s not all sorrow though, Jennie’s dream car would be a 57’ Chevy Bel Air (which is definitely not electric, nor automatic) “that I could turn into a rat rod.”. If you know your American Classics, you know how epic they are...
